Capacity Building

Capacity Building is the process of empowering medical students and organizations by enhancing their knowledge, skills, and resources to create sustainable change, achieve shared goals, and address global and local health challenges effectively. In IFMSA, capacity building includes training sessions, workshops, and activities aimed at developing leadership, advocacy, and organizational skills. It also emphasizes fostering collaboration, innovation, and a sense of responsibility among members to contribute meaningfully to health systems and communities worldwide. The International Federation of Medical Students Associations (IFMSA), founded in 1951, is one of the world’s oldest and largest student-run organizations.
