AK/CoFo
The AK/CoFo enhances education through collaboration, meetings, and projects.
About
The Commission on Medical Education (Ausbildungskommission/Commission de la formation: AK/CoFo) is a democratically constituted body of swimsa that deals with all issues and projects related to the education of medical students in Switzerland.
The overarching vision of the AK/CoFo parallels that of the Standing Commission on Medical Education: to empower medical students to actively involve themselves in the discussion and development of medical education by providing a platform for open discussion and project development.
The AK/CoFo brings together medical students from all over Switzerland – each faculty sends two delegates to represent their local association. The AK/CoFo also provides a platform for interprofessional exchange with other members of the Swiss Youth Health Alliance (SYHA) and welcomes delegates from the chiropractic (SCS), pharmacy (asep), and psychology (psyCH) student associations! The Liaison Officers (LOs) represent swimsa in external associations and are also part of the AK/CoFo.
The meetings take place three times a semester in Bern, while online meetings are held between the meetings to work on projects.
The AK/CoFo is organized and led by the Vice-President for Medical Education (VPA) and National Officer for Medical Education (NOME).
