DV/AD
The DV/AD is swimsa's highest democratic body, meeting once per semester for discussions, voting, and policy adoption, open to all members and Swiss medical students.

About

The DV/AD is the highest organ of swimsa and takes place once per semester. swimsa is made of multiple full members and associate members and the Delegates’ Assembly is where everyone can make their voices heard. swimsa internals share reports on the internal ongoings, including what has been done and what is yet to come. New internals are voted in, as well as new associate members. Statements and policy papers may be written by any medical student which may be adopted as an official stance by swimsa at the Assemblies. Besides that, new bylaws and guidelines may be proposed, which are then voted upon by the delegates.

Usually, the General Secretary (GS) and External Secretary (ES) are responsible for organising the DV/AD together with the according local student’s association. For the DV/AD, documents which have to be approved by the DV/AD need to be sent to all attendants as early as possible so that they have enough time to go through them, ask questions and propose amendments. Reports are provided by various members of swimsa regarding the current internal events.

This assembly is the optimal place for an exchange of ideas and fruitful discussions about the ongoings of swimsa.

The Delegates’ Assembly is open to all members, full or associate as well as to all medical students from Switzerland.
